Can't really say. I've never actually seen one.
I would think that given the number of impacts
that they incure in the asteroid belts they would
have very little chance of being smooth. Smooth
would imply a wearing down by friction which does
not occur in space.

Oh well next time I get a chance to see one up close
I'll change my model accordingly :)
